Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must be able to read and follow simple and specific written and/or oral instructions involving duties with several distinct tasks or steps. Must have experience using hand and power tools common to picture framing. Must have the ability to calculate lengths, widths, and weights. Basic knowledge in using computer graphics programs required. Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 40lbs. Must be knowledgeable and experienced with all aspects of engraving. Must be responsible, detail oriented, a problem solver with a team mentality and work well under pressure. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. About the position: This position will be assigned to the Arts and Crafts Center, Engraving and Framing Department. Assists framer in fulfilling customer orders following work order specifications, and strict instructions on what is necessary to complete each order.
