1. Knowledge of the operation and installation of all components, assemblies, and systems of vehicles (such as engines, transmissions, front and rear-end assemblies, power steering and braking mechanisms, electrical and hydraulic systems) sufficient to isolate malfunctions to the defective component(s) and to affect those repairs that can be performed without complete tear down and rebuild of the component. 2. Ability to remove and reinstall major and minor components and to perform required alignment and adjustment. 3. Skill in the use of a variety of test equipment such as compression gauges, thickness, multimeter, and pressure gauges and skill in the use of such tools. 4. Must understand technical manuals and be able to reference parts and materials. 5. Demonstrated work experience directly related to the duties described above that include the skills and knowledge listed.
