Responsible for the quantity and quality of work performed by subordinates, requiring the application of expert knowledge of the methods, techniques, processes, procedures, tools, materials, and practices of the marine machinery mechanic trade. Responsible for specific trade experts and the supervision of the quantity and quality of the work performed by subordinates, requiring the application by the incumbent of general knowledge of the methods, techniques, processes, procedures, tools, materials, and practices of these other trades. Ability to evaluate the skills of the team members and work collaboratively with trade expert or trade supervisor. Responsible for carrying out EEO policies and communicating support of these policies to subordinates. Assures equality in determining qualifications, selections, assignments, training, promotions, details, discipline and awards to employees.
