**THIS IS A YEAR-ROUND INTERNSHIP AND NOT SEASONAL ** Clarification: An appointment under a Pathways Internship is intended to continue through completion of education and work requirements. Pathways Interns qualify based on their educational achievements. For the GS-02 grade level: Completion of a High school diploma or equivalent. For the GS-03 grade level: Completion of 1 full academic year of post high school study. For the GS-04 grade level: Completion of 2 full academic years of post-high school study or associate’s degree. -Initial review of applicants will occur 7 days after the announcement opens. -Additional reviews of applicants will occur at the 30 and 60 day cutoff and the closing date of the announcement. Review Dates of Applications Received Before or On: SEPT 25 2024 OCT 16 2024 NOV 16 2024 DEC 16 2024 **Qualification requirements must be met within 30 days after the submission of your application.** PROGRAM COMPLETION AND CONVERSION ELIGIBILITY: This is an Excepted Service appointment. Upon successful completion of their academic program and the internship program, interns may be converted to a term or permanent position in the competitive service consistent with agency needs, academic achievement, and demonstrated potential. Conversion potntial for this opportunity is a GS -1102- 5/7/9 up to the full performance level of GS 9. However, future budgetary events, hiring restrictions, conversion caps, or other events may preclude the conversion or conversion to a position with the full potential performance level. Individuals converted to a position in the competitive service may be subjected to participation in an agency formal development program. To be eligible for conversion: Meet any agency-specific requirements specified in the Participant’s Agreement. Demonstrate successful job performance that results in a rating of record of at least Fully successful and a recommendation for conversion by the first level supervisor. Complete at least 640 hours of work experience acquired through the Program while enrolled as a half- or full-time degree- or certificate-seeking student; Complete a course of academic study/degree conferred, at a qualifying educational institution conferring a diploma, certificate or degree Meet the qualification standards for the position to which the intern will be converted; Receive a favorable recommendation by supervisor Minimum 2.5 GPA
**THIS IS A YEAR-ROUND INTERNSHIP AND NOT SEASONAL. **To be eligible for the Pathways Intern Program, individuals must have been accepted for enrollment or be enrolled during the current (FALL 2024) or next upcoming semester (SPRING 2025) and seeking a degree (diploma, certificate, etc.) in an accredited/qualifying educational institution on a full or half-time basis. Base Salary Ranges (See Education Section): GS-02: $32,945-$41,463 GS-03: $35,947-$46,729 GS-04: $40,351-$52,452
