Applicants will be rated in accordance with the Office of Personnel Management Qualification Standard for Trades and Labor Occupations. Candidates will be evaluated based on their possession of the general experience required for the position being filled. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties at the level for which you are applying. Emphasis is placed on how you gained the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time, and you have the required ability or potential to perform the job. In addition to the minimum qualifications, the following has been determined to be a Screen-out Element for this position. This means possession of this criterion is part of the minimum qualifications and is essential to perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Applicants who do not possess this criterion are ineligible for further consideration. SCREEN-OUT ELEMENT – Ability to perform the work of a Materials Expediter with no more than normal supervision. AND Selective Placement Factor (SPF): Candidates must demonstrate evidence of having possession of an appropriate State and Government vehicle operator’s license or permit. Candidates who do not possess the SPF are rated ineligible/not qualified and will not receive further consideration for the position. AND Pre-employment Physical Requirement: You must be able to efficiently perform the essential functions of the position without hazard to yourself or others. Selectee must pass a pre-employment physical prior to appointment. Applicants should include examples of general experience in their work history. Qualifications must be met by the closing date of the announcement.
Serves as a Materials Expediter during normal and non-normal duty hours. Expedites stock selection, receipt, issue, packaging, and delivery of urgently needed parts and materials to satisfy priority requests received from FAA Logistics Center worldwide customers.
