EXPERIENCE: GS-07: In addition to the Basic Requirements (see Education section), your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Experience applying marine and mechanical engineering principles and related engineering fields. Experience utilizing theory, concepts, principles, and practices of the broad field of marine engineering to support or assist in resolving unique or complex issues pertaining to ship design. Experience performing structural analysis and load calculations. GS-05: Applicants who meet the basic requirements listed are fully qualified for the specified entry level Engineering positions at the GS-05.
