This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: Current license as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico for the SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER/ ARCHITECT/ CIVIL ENGINEER/ INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER position. In addition to the SPF and Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: (1) Using knowledge of the principles, concepts, theories, and practices of community planning, architecture, and/or engineering to provide services associated with maintaining facilities, land and other resources; (2) Reviewing technical documents used in the planning, design, construction, alteration and/or repair of facilities in order to provide technical advice in planning and project development and (3) Developing plans, goals, and objectives for facility management projects, programs, systems, or operations (e.g., strategic plans, work breakdown structures, integration plans, performance measures, risk management plans, cost-benefit analysis).
