Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Locksmith Helper ~ without more than normal supervision. including duplicating keys using key cutting machines; issue keys, and accurately record transactions and maintain records; operate a motor vehicle to visit various worksites and transport tools and equipment. – Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. PHYSICAL EFFORT: Must frequently stand, stoop, bend, kneel and work in awkward positions. Occasionally climbing of ladders is involved. Frequently lifts items up to 50 pounds and occasionally heavier. WORKING CONDITIONS: Performs the majority of work in the immediate shop area. Works inside and outside. Exposure to heat, cold, and possible injury to hands and fingers using power and hand tools. Lighting conditions are usually poor inside buildings. Subject to burns while using cutting torches or soldering irons. Subject to falls from ladders and injury due to falling on sharp hand tools. Hearing protective devices and other safety equipment must be worn at all times of exposure to hazardous conditions. Working conditions are considered in the evaluation of the job and do not meet criteria for compensation by environmental or hazard pay.
