In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. MILITARY GRADES: ENLISTED (MSgt/E7- and below) are eligible to apply Failure to obtain a compatible AFSC may result in termination of employment. GENERAL AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS: WG-09 and above – Experience or training operating, maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and overhauling fuel systems and components. Experience or training initiating and controlling the movement and storage of fuel supplies by operating high pressure systems with a series of terminals connected by cross-country pipelines or multi-fuel storage and distribution facilities connected by a network of internal pipelines. ENLISTED (MSgt/E7- and below) are eligible to apply. At this time, the UMD supports up through SSgt/E-5. Members with rank higher than identified are eligible to apply but may be required to take a reduction should they be selected. Future promotion to MSgt/E-7 and TSgt/E-6 is possible without further competition but subject to eligibility and a valid UMD position.
