TO QUALIFY FOR WG-01: The Screen-out Element for this position is: You have shown aptitude and interest for learning trade theory and practice by attaining passing grades in relevant school subjects or you have received commendations from teachers, instructors, or supervisors indicating satisfactory academic or work performance. TO QUALIFY FOR WG-03: The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Obtaining tools, plans, and materials; 2) Assisting others in performing disassembles, repairs, and assembling components; 3) Assisting others in performing preventative maintenance, system checks, and lifting, handling, storing, and disposing of materials; 4) Utilizing established safety practices, rules, regulations, and procedures. TO QUALIFY FOR WG-05: This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Helping to operate and maintain utility generating equipment including power boilers, air compressors, diesel generators, potable and non-potable water pumping stations and associated auxiliary equipment; 2) Recognizing and assessing malfunctions with mechanical utility equipment and coordinating repairs; and 3) Assisting with the use of industrial power equipment such as power saws, hand and machine pipe threading equipment, and metal working equipment. TO QUALIFY FOR WG-08: This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Assisting in operating all boiler plant and/or auxiliary equipment to produce and control the amount of steam necessary to meet demands; 2) Performing maintenance and repair on piping, valves and pumps associated with utility systems; 3) Using industrial power equipment such as power saws, hand and machine pipe threading equipment, and metal working equipment to include welders, plasma cutters and oxy-acetylene torches, grinders, and test equipment such as pyrometers, ohmmeters, and flow meters. TO QUALIFY FOR WG-10: This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION: 1) Assisting in operating all boiler plant and/or auxiliary equipment to produce and control the amount of steam necessary to meet demands; 2) Assisting with maintaining systems and/or equipment to minimize downtime; and 3) Assisting in flushing the salt water and freshwater distribution systems.
