This is an interdisciplinary position and may be filled by a Mechanical Engineer (0830-series), a Computer Engineer (0854-series), an Electronics Engineer (0855-series), or a Computer Scientist (1550-series) depending upon the qualifications of the candidate. To Qualify for the ND-05 Position: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-4 (GS-12/13 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional Engineer or Scientist executing or managing undersea warfare systems trainer software development or In Service Support programs to establish technical or engineering approaches (e.g. program risks, plans, tasking, or cost estimates etc.) for support of program technical teams and meeting the programmatic needs. To Qualify for the ND-04 Position: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-3 (GS-09-11 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional Engineer or Scientist supporting undersea warfare systems trainer software or In Service Support programs to provide assistance with technical or engineering objectives (e.g. program risks, plans, tasking, or cost estimates etc.) for meeting the programmatic needs. You will serve as a TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER in the Program Management Office (Code 259) of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV NEWPORT RI. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15 and the ND-4 encompasses GS-12 and GS-13.
