Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Aircraft Electrician without more than normal supervision. ???????Resumes will be reviewed for experience and/or training which provided skills and knowledge of the following ability to perform common Aircraft Electrician duties such as utilizing a variety of conglomerate and sensorial electrical, electronics, weapons and instrument test sets and other airborne diagnostic test equipment. Perform tests, validate and certify rotary wing aircraft electrical, weapons, instruments and power distribution systems, subsystems and components, including cabling, harnesses, connectors, etc. – Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability to Do the Work of the Position without More Than Normal Supervision Ability to Use and Maintain Hand Tools (Electrical Work) Ability to Use Electrical Drawings Knowledge of Electrical Equipment Technical Practices (Theoretical, Precise, Artistic) Theory and Instruments (Electrical, Electronic) Used in Shop and Trade Practices Troubleshooting (Electrical) PHYSICAL EFFORT: Work assignments involve frequent standing, sitting, climbing, bending, and working in cramped and awkward positions. Lifts items weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance, and over 35 pounds with assistance from another worker or weight handling equipment. WORKING CONDITIONS: Works in lighted, heated, and ventilated industrial shop area. Work is at times performed in aircraft under conditions of heat or cold or outside in inclement weather, subject to electrical shop hazards and bumps, cuts and bruises. Occasionally, work in high places may be required. Required to utilize protective clothing and safety equipment in the performance of assigned duties; e.g., shoes, glasses, goggles, gloves, hard-hat. Hazardous working conditions will be compensated by Environmental Differential Pay (EDP).
