EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: (OPM Operating Manual, Qualification Standards ). Individual Occupational Requirements Basic Requirements Degree: biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. In addition, you must meet the following: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: GS-13: Managing the planning and implementation of an interdisciplinary program as it relates to Natural Resources, Fish and Wildlife, etc. Experience in performing and coordinating field analysis, biological assessment or evaluations. Interpret and understand the development and enhancement of trust natural resources, and ability to incorporate them into the cultural resource management process. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Merit Promotion candidates must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the announcement closing date. Preference in filling vacancies is given to qualified Indian candidates in accordance with the Indian Preference Act of 1934 (title 25, USC Section 472). Additional selections may be made from this announcement if identical vacancies occur in the same location within 90 days from the closing date.
This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Midwest Region in Ashland, Wisconsin. This position performs program management, provide oversight, analysis, and/or advisement for complex processes and programs and/or to conduct a broad range of investigations and sties as authorized by relevant statues, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to fish and wildlife resources.
