All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-11/05/2024-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. To receive credit for experience, your resume MUST clearly indicate the nature of the duties and responsibilities for each position, starting and ending dates of employment (month/year), and the resume must reflect full and/or part-time or total number of hours worked (i.e., work 40+ hours a week, rather than indicating full-time). If part-time, the hours must be annotated to be able to pro-rate the amount of qualified specialized experience. To qualify for this position at the GS-12 grade level, you must possess all of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: 1) Managing full life-cycle of Architect/Engineer (A/E) contracts to ensure project and organizational needs are met, and/or modified as applicable; 2) Preparing scopes of work and budget estimates for projects; 3) Participating in technical architectural and engineering project activities, such as reviewing specifications to determine proper materials and work methods, confirming the need for any major project design changes, and coordinating efforts to fulfill those changes; 4) Conducting code inspection including inspection for compliance with accessibility codes; 5) Performing construction project management and inspections. Examples of related work experience include engineering aid or technician or surveying technician performing work directly related to construction; OR Construction inspector or construction representative responsible for interpreting plans and specifications, inspecting materials and workmanship, and insuring adherence to safety requirements; OR Supervisor of craftspersons, equipment operators, or mechanics engaged in construction work, provided that the experience involved responsibility for interpreting plans and specifications and inspecting workmanship for adherence to such plans and specifications. You must include hours per week worked. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Construction Control Representative located in Golden Gate National Recreation Area, in the Project Management Division. The expected duration of the term appointment upon appointment greater than 1 year (e.g., not to exceed 13 months); and the agency has the option of extending the term appointment, up to a maximum of 10 years from the date of appointment. Such extensions are not guaranteed nor an employee entitlement.
