CONTRACT SPECIALIST

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience using price/cost analysis techniques and cost estimating relations to evaluate contractor’s proposals. Experience preparing statistical analysis and cost estimating relationships to evaluate contractor proposals and prepare a pre-negotiation position. Experience implementing knowledge of contract administration and termination techniques to amend, negotiate, and administer changes needed to contract completion. Experience implementing knowledge of the FAR, Defense Federal Acquisitions Regulations (DFARS), Navy Marine Corp Acquisition Regulations (NMCARs), NAVSEA Contracting Handbook, The Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM), and contract law and legal precedents. Experience coordinating a contracting team in an industrial environment. Experience preparing contracting officer final decisions, business clearances, letters of concern to contractors, and effective contracts and modifications. Experience conducting contract negotiations and meeting and dealing with high-level business, industry, scientific, and/or Government officials. Experience working as a Warranted Contracting Officer is required. You will serve as a CONTRACT SPECIALIST in the Sustainment (Amphibs) Branch (Code 426.2), Sustainment Cradle to Grave (Non-CNO) Division (Code 426), Contracts Department (Code 400) of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR.
