To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement. GS-12 grade level: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA’s) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes: Experience utilizing electronic systems to gather, review, input, update, access, organize, process, prepare and maintain designs using AutoCAD or other specialized software and to maintain information for use in litigation and/or to accomplish contract compliance. Experience in construction industry safety standards and their application in order to determine adequacy and validity of contractor data and compliance with safety requirements. Extensive experience and skill in applying a wide range of concepts, practices, regulations, policies, and precedents; analytical and diagnostic techniques; qualitative and quantitative techniques; techniques for developing new or modified work methods, approaches, or procedures; and related emerging practices and methods, sufficient to provide comprehensive management advisory and technical services on substantive functions and practices. Developing innovative methods, approaches, or procedures; identify, evaluate, and recommend appropriate solutions to resolve complex interrelated problems and issues; and formulate and present findings, briefings, project papers, status reports, and correspondence to foster understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Driver’s License Requirement: Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle. (Please do not submit a copy of your license with your application package. You will be required to show your valid driver’s license at the time of your interview.) Selected applicants will be required to pass a pre-employment physical. Must be able to independently operate Government Vehicle. Must provide clean driving record report from the DMV during the pre-employment process.
Participates in design review conferences, reviews preliminary plans and specifications prior to advertisement for practicability, anticipated physical obstructions and other construction difficulties and availability of selected materials.
