Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Degree: that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position such as organizational leadership and management, psychology of leadership, strategic management, organizational consulting and change leadership, or organizational behavior. OR 2. Combination of education and experience — courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position as described above, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described above. AND Specialized Experience: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 12 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience teaching formal, instructor-led, leadership training virtually and in-person; and designing and developing leadership course content. Applicants must have met the qualification requirements (including selective placement factors – if any) for this position within 30 calendar days of the closing date of this announcement.
