Specialized Experience: In order to be rated as qualified for this position, we must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement – please be sure to include this information in your resume. To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade (GS-07) of the position to be filled. Examples include, but are not limited to, applying supply chain management principles and inventory management techniques, managing activities related to procurement, logistics, and distribution strategies that aim to enhance efficiency and cut costs; ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders-such as team members, suppliers, and management-both verbally and in writing, ensuring that all interactions are clear and foster mutual understanding; and experience providing insight into your knowledge of the daily operations within a warehouse operation, covering aspects like processing requisitions, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies. OR Education: Successfully completed a master’s or equivalent graduate degree, OR, 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, OR, LL.B. of J.D., if related that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position. OR Combination: Possess equivalent combination of successfully completed education and specialized experience directly related to the work of the position as outlined above that meets the requirements of the position. Only graduate education in excess of the first year (18 semester hours) may be used to qualify applicants for the GS-09 level. NOTE: If using education combined with specialized experience to qualify, a copy of your transcript is required. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade requirement in accordance with 5 CFR 300.604. If you are a current Federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks at the next lower grade level. Physical Demands: Work is primarily sedentary. Typically, the incumbent sits at a desk or table with some walking or standing. Items carried typically are light objects and lifting of moderately heavy objects is not normally required. Incumbent may be required to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods of time, and sometimes bends, stoops and works in tiring uncomfortable positions. Incumbent may work extended work hours during peak incident activity. Work Environment: Work environment involves everyday risks and discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, warehouses, meeting and training rooms, and private or commercial vehicles. Work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated. Incumbent is also exposed to the risks inherent in a warehouse environment. May be required to perform work in hot, cold, drafty, or poorly lighted areas. May be exposed to material handling equipment, noise, fumes, dust, and other hazards associated with warehouse operations.
