SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

I have one year of specialized Supply Management Specialist experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying an extensive knowledge of supply principles, concepts and methodologies including inventory management, storage/warehouse management, quality control and material management in support of a supply program. I also have experience leading subordinate logistics/supply employees, and assigning work to others based on customer priorities, difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees or team members. Examples of specialized experience may include: 1) Analyzing metrics and operations independently and resolving difficult issues and problems in the assigned area of responsibility involving supply processes, work methods, supply data management, and day-to-day operational procedures; 2) Ensuring the most efficient and effective methods of accomplishing the department’s mission are used within the framework of governing directives and objectives outlined by higher authority; 3) Providing direction to subordinates coordinating both internal and external procedures and operations; 4) Utilizing a broad range of computer applications, including supply databases, to perform inventory management functions and input budget and manpower requirements; 5) Planning and executing funding for financial allocations, phasing plans, execution plans, staffing plans, statistical reporting and activity reports for operations.
