You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience for the GS-12 is defined as one year of experience at the GS-11 level, or equivalent, that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience must include: Providing construction reviews of plans and specifications for technical soundness and practicability; AND Using computer aided design tools (such as Auto CAD) to create, edit, and maintain drawings for the building and production equipment; AND Identifying and making recommendations on problems and related project matters. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable (as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F): For the GS-12, you must have been at the GS-11 level for 52 weeks.
This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration.This position serves as an Engineering Technician for the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), Facilities and Property Management Division (BF), Space Planning and Projects Branch (BFS) in which they develop and support the electronic documents used in design and construction at NARA.
