You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes ALL of the following: Preparing or reviewing evidentiaries and petition requests and related documentation such as those that meet legal sufficiency to support the imposition and removal of sanctions; AND Preparing or reviewing sanctions investigations or contributing to the related documentation; AND Working with senior managers, such as the U.S. diplomatic, law enforcement, or intelligence communities; AND Conducting evaluations, examinations, or other fact finding studies to obtain or verify information (e.g., research of administrative, program, or legal issues and application to facts); AND Planning, developing, administering, and managing a diverse staff through subordinate managers. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. This position is located at Departmental Offices, Terrorism and Financial Intelligence – Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)- Office of Global Targeting (OGT). As an Assistant Director, you will head one of OGTs divisions and serve under the direction of SES-level leadership of the Office of Global Targeting. The incumbent will ensure the integrity and thoroughness of the divisions sanctions and reconsideration investigations.
