LOCK AND DAM EQUIPMENT OPERATOR SUPERVISOR

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Who May Apply: US Citizens Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) LOCK AND DAM EQUIPMENT OPERATOR SUPERVISOR with the ability to perform complex maintenance repair and inspection duties. This includes performing common maintenance repair and inspection duties; performing preventative maintenance and identifying issues of electrical, hydrological, pneumatic, and mechanical systems; working under normal supervisor; and performing common operation of lock and dam gates. – Failure to meet this Screen-out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
About the Position: As Lockmaster, supervises a crew of 4-12 subordinates at one or more lock and dam sites. Outside of normal business hours, the Lockmaster operates the total Project and relatedgrounds. Oversees the operation of the lock(s), dam, waterways adjacent to the locks, pool level,and at some sites, the fish ladder and/or saltwater intrusion.
