Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) applying techniques and skills in planning to develop and draft policies and procedures for effective stability, security and security cooperation; 2) designing and executing comprehensive stability operations programs; 3) significant knowledge of the Joint, Interagency, Inter-organizational and Multinational (JIIM) workgroups involved in stability and peace operations activities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-12) or equivalent pay band. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Creative Thinking Customer Service Planning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
About the Position: This position is located in the US Army Combined Arms Center, Peacekeeping and Stability Operations Institute (PKSOI), Carlisle Barracks, PA. This is a TERM NTE 13 Month Position but may be extended up to 6 Years and may be made permanent without further competition.
