HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY) (TITLE 32)

AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service “under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709” and is open to Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency Category 3: All current military members of the Florida National Guard; and Category 4: All individuals who qualify for membership in the Florida National Guard and are willing to become T32 Dual Status technicians. First consideration will be given to Category 1. PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. MILITARY GRADES: Enlisted: E3 thru E6 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position with experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-07 Must have at least 1-year equivalent to at least the next lower grade of experience that provided a working knowledge of administrative functions; experience performing personnel transactions; experience working independently and setting priorities with very little supervisory control; experience researching and obtain all necessary, relevant information regarding cases and issues and provides explanations and interpretations of rules, regulations, procedures, and requirements pertaining to actions taken or recommended; experience with multiple systems such as: Personnel Systems Management, Officer or Enlisted Personnel Management (OPM, EPM), Retirement Points Accounting Management (RPAM), Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP), Montgomery G.I. Bill, Physical Disability Evaluation System (PDES), Incapacitation Pay (INCAP), Mobilization (MOB)/Demobilization (DEMOB), TRICARE, Military Medical Support Office (MMSO), Line of Duty (LOD) investigations, and Funeral Honors/Casualty Assistance.
