Program Specialist

Only experience and education obtained by 11/12/2024 will be considered. In order to qualify for this position you must possess the Minimum Qualification at the grade level for which you would like to be considered. Minimum Qualification [GS-0301-11] Experience: One year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility equivalent to grade GS-09 in the Federal service. Specialized Experience may include: serving as point of coordination, communication and liaison for an organization regarding a variety of administrative areas such as budget execution and financial management, records management, payroll, property, human resources, procurement, and travel. OR Education: Possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or completion of 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in an accredited or pre-accredited college or university in a related field, such as business administration, public administration, industrial management, or accounting. Education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. NOTE: Transcripts are required. OR Combination: A combination of education and experience as described in 1 and 2 above which together equals 100% of the requirement. Only education beyond the second graduate year is creditable using this method. NOTE: Transcripts are required. OR Minimum Qualification [GS-0301-12] Experience: One year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility equivalent to grade GS-11 in the Federal service. Specialized Experience may include: independently serving as point of contact for Regional Business support in areas such as budget execution and financial management, records management, payroll, property, human resources, procurement, and travel. Independently advises lower graded staff on administrative functions. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time In Grade Requirement: Applicants must meet both eligibility and qualification requirements for the position of interest by the closing date of the JOA. Specifically, i.
