To qualify for this position, you MUST meet the following requirements: Specialized Experience GS-14: Must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience that equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties as a supervisor. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to the GS-13 level in Federal service. Specialized experience includes having and utilizing a mastery of the concepts, principles, practices, laws and regulations of the federal budget process and financial relationships between subordinate and most senior levels; expertise and mastery of the separate Congressional appropriations budget process, for medical facilities and administrations, their respective constraints, purposes as well as legally proper methods for reallocating resources between appropriations; having a through and detailed understanding of financial management and program objectives of the medical center director, comprehensive knowledge of precedents and controls, and detailed knowledge of OMB, Treasury, Agency guidelines and regulations governing the acquisition and the use of federal funds. You will be rated on the following Competencies as part of the assessment questionnaire for this position: Decision Making Financial Management Labor Relations Lead or Supervise Leadership IMPORTANT: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Physical Requirements: The work is primarily sedentary although some slight physical effort may be required.
