In addition to the Basic Education Requirement (in the Education section below), to qualify for this position you must meet the requirements below. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. NASA utilizes OPM-approved qualification and rating requirements specific for Aerospace Technology (AST) positions which recognizes NASA’s unique aerospace work. The specific qualifications and minimum education requirements are further described below and within the education section of the job announcement. To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level: Participating in or providing guidance on engineering, scientific or technical programs or projects; Coordinating with others to develop technical project concepts, ideas, resource estimates or proposals for an organization; Participating on engineering or technical projects or teams. To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level: Providing technical oversight or guidance for engineering, scientific or technical programs or projects through various phases of the lifecycle (e.g. conception, planning, execution); Developing, or leading the development of, technical project concepts, ideas, resource estimates or proposals for an organization; Leading multi-disciplined engineering or technical projects or teams. NASA Glenn Research Center is seeking a highly skilled individual to serve as Project Manager (AST, Engineering Project Management) at Glenn Research Centers Armstrong Test Facility in Sandusky, Ohio. The individual will perform multiple functions including requirements development, planning, scheduling, cost estimation and analysis, program and project management, and quality management for a variety of projects related to ground test facilities and testing for aerospace systems.
