SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-6 Level MUST possess at least 1-year of specialized experience at the GS-5 Level; experience conducting research on a wide variety of complex administrative problems; recommending solutions and courses of action for administrative functions; experience developing policies and procedures; maintain correspondence and reports; experience in the interpretation and application of regulations, procedures or law: experience using oral and written communication. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
