CONTRACT SPECIALIST

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing guidance, mentoring, and certification reviews and approvals in support of contract’s workforce career development; 2) Planning, directing, and performing acquisition and contract specific training for all levels of acquisition (i.e., simple commercial purchases and sophisticated and technologically advanced acquisition programs); and 3) Developing and implementing recruitment and retention initiatives for the Contracting positions. You will serve as a Procuring Contracting Officer and Contracts Career Field Manager for Marine Corps Systems Command, for matters of recruitment, workforce development, and retention.
