SUPERVISORY PHYSICAL SCIENTIST

IN ADDITION TO THE BASIC EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS (see Education section), your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: *Experience applying a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices of USNO operations, including timekeeping, astronomy, and Earth Orientation determination. *Experience modifying and adapting standard procedures, methods, and techniques, and developing new methods to address problems for which guidelines or precedents are not substantially applicable. *Experience identifying the processes and techniques required to interpret and evaluate the data, and to provide feedback on the efficaciousness of the technological developments. *Experience planning, executing, and reporting original studies or ongoing studies requiring fresh approach to resolve new problems.
