Time in grade: Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. (e.g. one year at the GS-14 grade level for consideration for the GS-15 grade level). Specialized Experience: To qualify for the GS-15, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through federal service performing the following duties or work assignments: Performing managerial and technical supervisory duties to a Real Property Management staff; Providing oversight and review of management and mission support services, space management, or office layout and design services; and Developing strategic plans and programs to support Real Property Management mission and initiatives. This position is located in the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Farm Production and Conservation (FP AC) Business Center (FBC), Management Services Division, located in Washington, DC. The incumbent serves as the Branch Chief for Real Property-Space and Facilities Management Branch, responsible for providing leadership, management, evaluation, and technical direction to the Branch staff.
