TO QUALIFY FOR THE FV-K (FG/GS 15) Level you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one (1) year Specialized Experience equivalent to the FV-J (FG/GS 14) Level. Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position to be filled, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE includes experience managing a diverse workforce and/or leading others, including planning and assigning work, project management, decision making, improving and controlling performance, selecting employees, and promoting Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), human relations, and employee participation; managing and providing oversight in the programs responsible for Drug and Alcohol Compliance and Enforcement; experience providing oversight for, and/or fulfilling requests from various elements of AAM. AND QUALITY RANKING FACTOR (QRF): A well-qualified candidate will have experience in applying Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Part 120 and Title 49 CFR Part 40, drug and alcohol enforcement programs within their resume. Applicants should provide examples of specialized experience in their work history.
As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the managers individual performance, and available funding. AAM-800 is responsible for oversight of the aviation industrys compliance with the drug and alcohol testing regulations (14 CFR part 120 and 49 CFR part 40).
