Health Technician (Surgical)

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) assisting with the assembly of surgical equipment and instruments in the operating room; 2) preparing equipment and supplies based on patients specific surgical procedure(s); 3) assisting with the sterilization of surgical instruments and maintaining a sterile operating room; AND 4) assisting surgeon(s) during surgical procedures.
