Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Providing systems engineering support to aircraft and ship system Program Managers for the identification/assessment of design critical operability, Sortie Generation Rate capability and assessment, modeling and simulation, system reliability, availability, and supportability, SE/ALRE interfaces, and mission performance parameters; 2) Providing leadership and specific technical expertise for a major branch functional element associated with air system integration and ship compatibility; 3) Resolving novel, out of the ordinary, difficult and controversial aviation ship interface and operational problems where available guidance is lacking and innovative and original techniques and solutions are required; 4) Reviewing operational, test and evaluation reports and evaluating recent research findings and technical progress in related scientific and engineering areas for their application toward developing new concepts and innovative approaches for shipboard aircraft operations and support; 5) Providing technical advice and critical judgment on current fleet problems; and, application and use of API and related hardware, software, support equipment and ancillary equipment.
