Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience or training in building maintenance in the areas of carpentry, plumbing and electrical areas that demonstrated the ability to perform minor repairs using common hand and power tools. Must be able to follow oral and/or written instructions. Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry heavy objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds. Physical Effort: Continuous walking, standing, stooping, bending reaching, turning, or moving hands, arms, feet, and legs. Use and and power tools and equipment such as hammers, saws, planes, drills, chisels, paintbrushes, spray guns, wire brushes, rollers, and putty knives. Frequently lifts and moves equipment, furniture, components, and objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Working Conditions: Work is performed inside and outside under all type of weather conditions. Exposed to the possibility of cuts, bruises, chemical exposures, and electric shock. The equipment tools, and tasks involved frequently require extreme care and use of safety gloves, earplugs, safety glasses, cold weather clothing. Safety consciousness is always paramount. About the position: This position will be assigned to the 92 Force Support Squadron, Fairchild Inn, Fairchild AFB, WA. The purpose of this position is to perform facility maintenance, motor vehicle operations, grounds maintenance duties, and related tasks for all lodging areas. This is a Regular Part time position; guaranteed 20-34 hours per week; depending on the needs of the facility.
