You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing electronic healthcare systems; evaluating or analyzing healthcare processes and recommending solutions; coordinates or recommends budgets for funds and resources; and providing supervision, leadership, or direction to employees and their work. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-12. 1) Position requires the skill and experience of a knowledgeable health care professional with experience in health care quality management, utilization management, performance improvement or risk management. 2) Expert knowledge of and experience in healthcare operations, use of quality improvement and assessment methods to assess organizational performance, and current research and trends relative to health care practices. 3) This position requires knowledge and understanding of clinical practices, procedures, and standards as well as general knowledge in the credentialing and privileging process. 4) Working knowledge of process improvement tools / techniques and statistical process control techniques and application. Working knowledge of medical terminology and procedures sufficient to interpret and identify medical/dental/clinical discrepancies and interact with medical professionals at all levels of these programs within the organization and DON/DoD. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone–no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
