GS-07: To be qualified for the GS-07 level, applicants must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level in Federal service OR a combination of education and experience. Specialized experience is qualifying experience involves gathering and analyzing basic facts and drawing conclusions in an administrative setting, providing general information to employees on employee benefits and responding to general questions about human resources principles and concepts used in human resources. OR Education: Successfully completed one academic year of graduate education in a related field of study such as: human resources, public administration, or other administrative and management fields or Superior Academic Achievement. Superior Academic Achievement: class standing in the upper one-third of the graduating class; a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher as recorded on the official transcript, or computed based on courses completed during the final two full years of the curriculum; a GPA of 3.5 or higher based on the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in a major field completed during the final two years of curriculum; or election to a membership in a national scholastic honor society. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts with your application if you are substituting education for experience. OR Combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position if the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. Career Transition Assistance Plan (CTAP)-The CTAP provides eligible surplus and displaced competitive service employees in the Department of Justice with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies. If your Department of Justice component has notified you in writing that you are a surplus or displaced employee eligible for CTAP consideration, you may receive selection priority if: 1) this vacancy is within your CTAP eligibility, 2) you apply under the instructions in this announcement, and 3) you are found well-qualified for this vacancy.
