PROCUREMENT ANALYST

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience utilizing government contracting laws ang policies including techniques of contracting operations, familiarity with the practices of business and industry to develop policies and guidance to subordinate activities. Experience implementing analytical skills sufficient to evaluate audit reports, regulations and other relevant material for developing and implementing departmental guides or procedures. Experience applying government contracting laws and Federal, DoD, DoN and MSC acquisition regulations, procedures, statues and instructions applicable to the acquisition of ship/shore related systems and items. Experience providing advice and guidance on contracting matters to project managers and contracting officers at MSC locations. Experience analyzing and recommending implementation of Federal, DOD, and DON procurement directives and policies, and initiating, developing, and recommending MSC contracting and ocean transportation policies, procedures, and directives. You will serve as a PROCUREMENT ANALYST in the GCPC (N101B), of the Business Operations Division (N101), in the Contracting Department (N10), of the Military Sealift Command (MSC) located at Naval Station Norfolk, in Norfolk, VA of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.
