You may qualify at the GS-0501-7 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One full-time year (12-months) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your ability to: 1) Reconcile bills and/or invoices to identify errors and irregularities; 2) Utilize electronic financial systems; 3) Assist with preparing budget and/or financial reports; and 4) Apply problem solving to complex problems. OR B. One full year of graduate level education in an accredited college or university in one of the following related fields: Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Project Management. The education must demonstrate the competencies necessary to do the work of the position. (You MUST submit supporting academic transcripts). OR C. A combination of education and experience as listed above. (You MUST submit supporting academic transcripts). OR D. Completion of a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor’s degree in a field of study that demonstrates the competencies required by this position (e.g. Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Project Management) with either (1) a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 based on a 4.0 scale; (2) a 3.5 GPA based on a 4.0 scale for all required courses completed in a qualifying major field of study at either the time of application or during the last two years of your undergraduate curriculum; (3) class standing of upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or a major subdivision of the college; or, (4) membership in a National Scholastic Honor Society certified by the Association of College Honor Societies, excluding freshman honor societies (You MUST submit supporting academic transcripts). Possession of the following competencies: Financial Management: Prepares, justifies, and/or administers the budget for program areas; plans, administers, and monitors expenditures to ensure cost-effective support of programs and policies; assesses financial condition of an organization. Problem Solving: Identifies and analyzes problems; weighs relevance and accuracy of information; generates and evaluates alternative solutions; makes recommendations. Note: Subject matter experts will evaluate the first three (3) pages of work experience in your resume based on these competencies. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
