To qualify for an Inventory Management Specialist, your resume must support: A. One year of specialized experience which equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly related to this position. To be creditable, specialized experience must be at the GS-09 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Examples of creditable specialized experience include Resolves inventory discrepancies (gains, losses, receipts, issues). Ensures material receipts, transfers and issues post to appropriate records and make corrections in the Enterprise Business Systems (EBS). Processes customers’ orders in EBS. Follows up on pricing issues with Finance, status of customer deliveries, returns and discrepancies and routed complaints to Product Specialist as necessary. B. Education Substitution: 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D or equivalent doctorate degree. Such education must be from an accredited college or university and must demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities to do the work. C. Combination: A combination of creditable education and specialized experience as listed in A and B above. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
