SECURITY SPECIALIST

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying a thorough knowledge of provisions as they relate to Personnel, Information, and Industrial Security. Examples of specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following; 1) Reviewing and implanting security instructions as they relate to Personnel, Information and Industrial Security to ensure security compliance; 2) Reviewing, analyzing and resolving problems using security concepts, principles and practices; 3) Planning and implementing protective methods and security procedures using security equipment, devices and databases; 4) Coordinating reports and adjudicating security violations for potential security compromises of classified information; 5) Managing an established security awareness and education program to ensure proper security information dissemination; 6) Interpreting new or existing security instructions and review/ implement and/or rewrite procedures pertaining to the work of the security department.
