However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Ammunition Inspector Leader without more than normal supervision. Experience working in ammunition operations interpreting the specific application of established inspection criteria and defect classification; I have used guides, instruments, tools and testing methods to inspect conventional and nonconventional munitions; I have handled and destroyed a variety of explosives, ammunition, or propellants by detonation and/or burning while following procedures specific to the particular item being destroyed. – Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Physical Efforts: Work assignments involve standing, stooping, bending, and walking. Lifts and carries items weighing up to 60 lbs. Working Conditions: Work is performed both inside and outside. Buildings have cement floors and may be unheated. Occasionally work is of a dirty, greasy nature and there is noise from production machinery. Incumbent is occasionally exposed to weather extremes and occasionally must wear full protective clothing when exposed to chemicals and gases. Works in close proximity to areas where explosive items are being inspected, renovated, demilitarized, modified, transported, and/or stored.
