Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes at least 3 out of the 5 experience listed: (1) serve as a functional interface between Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers and the DoD acquisition; (2) familiar with governmental foreign policy and identify diplomatic issues and provide feedback; (3) manage the integrated logistics support elements throughout the life cycle of the system (e.g. production, transportation, product assurance, acquisition, etc.); (4) manage complex/nonstandard case requirements utilizing the Defense Security Assistance Management System (DSAMS); (5) provide logistical support involving variety of vehicle/weapon systems managed by Command (e.g. combat, construction and material handling equipment). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone–no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Problem Solving Project Management Reading Comprehension Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
