MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Additional Requirements for Grades GS-12 and Above For GS-15 — 5 years of graduate training in the specialty of the position to be filled or equivalent experience and training. SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR (SPF): The SPF is determined to be essential to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. Applicants who do not meet a SPF will be ineligible for selection consideration. · Board Certification: Board Certification has been determined to be important to perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Board Certified in the physician’s specialty by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) is a condition of employment. -OR- · Recently completed Residency program; thus Board Eligible and actively pursuing Board Certification in the Specialty to which applying. Time In Grade Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP). You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
A housing subsidy of up to $822 per pay period without dependents or $1,019 per pay period with dependents may be available. Recruitment, Relocation and Retention incentives may also be available. The Physician (General Surgery) position functions as a Surgeon in the Surgical Department of the Crow/Northern Cheyenne Indian Health Hospital in Crow Agency, MT. The purpose of the position is to provide surgical services for the Service Unit.
