SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In addition to meeting the above, applicants must also possess one (1) year of specialized experience that equipped them with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position, and that is typically in or related to the work of this position. To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience may include: providing consultation regarding development and deployment of software and hardware; researching/investigating new or improved information systems business and management practices/tools; testing, implementing, and providing support for SharePoint products; analyzing and measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of administrative and technical aspects of a research information technology (IT) program; knowledge of secure folders and database structures; and assisting in development of IT budget preparation. You will be rated on the following Competencies as part of the assessment questionnaire for this position: Administration and Management Planning and Evaluating Project Management Teamwork IMPORTANT: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform portions of the work. However, there is periodic walking; standing; bending; carrying of moderate items such as laptops, desktops, instructional material, books, and manuals. Employee will be assigned to the Health Services Research & Development Service (HSR&D), VA Medical Center, Durham, NC, providing support for this VA research center. The employee will be responsible for designing and implementing workflows to provision the service with optimal network infrastructure, software/hardware inventory control, service request processes, and research information technology (IT) budgets to ensure the data integrity of research processes at the center.
