Only experience and education obtained by 11/22/2024 will be considered. In order to qualify for this position you must possess both the Basic Requirement and Minimum Qualification. Basic Requirement: Possess a degree in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR Possess a combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, PLUS appropriate experience or additional education. Minimum Qualification [GS-09] Possess one year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 level or higher in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). Specialized experience includes: 1) Assisting with moderately complex biological investigations; 2) Providing assistance in negotiations for alternative actions to ensure effective conservation of endangered, threatened, and at-risk species; and 3) Participating in activities related to the Endangered Species Act. NOTE: Your resume must contain sufficient information in these areas to be found qualified. OR Possess two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master’s degree or master’s or equivalent graduate degree in a field directly related to the work of the position. NOTE: To qualify under this option you must submit transcripts (official or unofficial) to verify your education. OR Possess an equivalent combination of professional experience and graduate level education beyond the first year, as described in 1 and 2 above, that when combined, equals 100% of the total requirement. Minimum Qualification [GS-11] Possess one year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility equivalent to the GS-09 level or higher in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). Specialized experience includes: 1) Conducting moderately complex biological investigations; 2) Negotiating alternative actions to ensure effective conservation of endangered, threatened, and at-risk species; and 3) Developing scientific reports for presentation. NOTE: Your resume must contain sufficient information in these areas to be found qualified. OR Possess three years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. -OR- possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree with a major in or directly related to the position to be filled (e.g., biology, ecology, conservation science, etc.). NOTE: To qualify under this option you must submit transcripts (official or unofficial) to verify your education. OR Possess a combination of qualifying experience and education that satisfies 100% of the minimum requirement. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time In Grade Requirement: Applicants must meet both eligibility and qualification requirements for the position of interest by the closing date of the JOA. Specifically, i.
