TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (TITLE 32)

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. Selected candidate must be MOS qualified within 12 months from date of appointment. Title 32 employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion). Maximum and Minimum Military Grade – TSgt (E-6) AFSC – 2T0X1 or 2T2X1 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience, education and/or training which has provided you with a knowledge and understanding of administrative, professional, analytical or other work relating to traffic or transportation programs or operations; skill in dealing with others in person-to-person work relationships; and experience using computer and automation systems. GS-09 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess 24 months of specialized experience managing the movement of freight and passengers and determining transportation and operating costs; interpreting new regulations/requirements and developing local policies to implement changes effectively; directing and coordinating the full range of traffic management functions; applying applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations concerning transportation and traffic procedures; preparing reports and recommendations involving appeals, special permits, adjustments in rates and charges; and negotiating with carriers on individual shipments or traffic movement. Must currently hold or have held AFSC 2T171.
This a National Guard Title 32 Excepted Service Position. This National Guard position is a Permanent GS-2130-09 TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D2422000 and is part of the MO 131st Bomb Wing. This is a bargaining position.
