Specialized experience is the experience that has equipped you with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. All applicants applying for the CU-14 level must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-13 level obtained in the private or public sector. Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience: 1. Determining compliance with laws and regulations related to federal consumer financial protection, consumer compliance, or consumer compliance resolution; AND 2. Managing numerous project assignments and changing priorities. All applicants applying for the CU-15 level must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-14 level obtained in the private or public sector.Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience: 1. Determining compliance with and developing policy regarding laws and regulations related to federal consumer financial protection, consumer compliance, or consumer compliance resolution; AND 2. Evaluating the consumer regulation and supervision processes of financial institutions, and determining corrective courses of action; AND 3. Planning, organizing and directing the work of others. This is an opportunity for current NCUA employees in a permanent competitive position, to serve on a detail or temporary promotion as the Director of the Division of Consumer Affairs, not to exceed 180 days. This position may be extended up to an additional 180 days without further competition. Those that do not have one year of qualifying experience at the next lower grade level, as described in the Qualifications section of this announcement, will be considered for a detail only.
