To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): Individual Occupational Requirements Specialized Experience For positions at GS-4 and above: Experience in operating, supervising the operation of, or instructing in the operation of equipment related to the particular specialization for which application is made. Experience gained in the operation of equipment in a specialization directly related to the specialization may be credited through the GS-5 level. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: GS-8: One (1) year of specialized equivalent to at least the GS-7 grade level. Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Examples of Specialized Experience GS-8: Receive request for procedures or treatment; interpret physician’s requests or instruments; sets controls and operate equipment to get test or treatment results. Clean and sterilize instruments and conduct routing maintenance and adjustment checks. Instruct other technicians, physicians, nurses and others in the use of the equipment. Decide how to adapt the instruments to the patient based on information gained through previous experience, observation, and results. Provide diagnostic or treatment services to acutely ill patients. Selective Placement Factor (SPF): Must be registered by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Time In Grade Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP). You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
Position is located in the Radiology Department of the Rosebud Comprehensive Healthcare Facility. The incumbent provides specialized diagnostic, medical services on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
