Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting inspections of buildings and vehicles utilizing dogs to locate drugs or explosives; 2) Interpreting dog signals/communications to determine probable cause, obtain search authorization, perform search, recover the evidence, field test and evaluate the evidence, make apprehension and prepare written reports; 3) Performing on/off leash obedience, controlled aggression, and safe utilization of dogs in congested areas; 4) Providing care, maintenance, and explosive, drug and patrol training to dogs in accordance with instructions and guidelines; and 5) Conducting checkpoints and roadblocks as directed in effort to reduce criminal activity.
